Ty Barhaug

Wyoming Native, Ty Barhaug, has a great appreciation for the wilderness and wildlife, and uses much of it to inspire him.  Barhaug has always had a love for art and has been painting professionally since 1990.  In addition to his love for painting, he handcrafts all of his frames for his works, adding to the western feel of his pieces.

Honors include: Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, four-time Juror's Choice award, the 1999 People's Choice award; C.M. Russell Auction of Original Western Art, Ralph "Tuffy" Berg award; The Meadowlark Gallery, Sponsor award; placed in the top 20 in the United States Forest Service Centennial Celebration.  He has also been profiled in Art of The West, Southwest Art, and American Cowboy.

Ty has participated in the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, Cody, Wy., the C.M. Russell Auction of Original Western Art, Great Falls, Mt., the Masters in Miniature show at the C.M. Russell Museum, Great Falls, Mt., The Gateway To The West Art Auction and Show, Bozeman, Mt., The Peppertree Art Show, Santa Ynez, Ca., The Empire 100 Western Art Show and Sale, Tucson, Az., Arts In The Parks, Jackson Hole, Wy., and the United States Forest Service Centennial Celebration.
